Step 6: Take Care of Your Body
A tired body produces a tired brain. Students who are overworked and undersleeping cannot retain information no matter how hard they try.
Even with a busy schedule:
- Aim for at least 6 to 7 hours of sleep every night
- Eat properly ā your brain needs fuel to function
- Take short walks or do light exercise ā it improves concentration significantly
- Do not skip meals on study days
Step 7: Have a Weekly Plan Not Just a Daily One
When life is unpredictable a rigid daily timetable often fails. A weekly plan is more forgiving.
At the start of each week:
- List all the topics you need to cover that week
- Assign them to available days without being too rigid about exact times
- If Monday’s session gets disrupted shift it to Tuesday
- Review at the end of the week what you covered and what needs more attention
This flexible approach keeps you on track even when life gets in the way.
